ABOUT
<ars●bit>—— A cross-disciplinary creator training project centered on games and play
“ars●bit” is a complex project that is a collaboration between “art bit,” a contemporary art x indie game exhibition series held annually at Hotel Anteroom Kyoto from 2021, and “404 Not Found,” a new indie game mecca that opened at Shibuya Sakura Stage in Shibuya, Tokyo in July 2024, to discover, nurture, and support unprecedented cross-disciplinary artists/creators in global challenges, with games/play as the core.
With Shibuya and Kyoto as international exchange hubs as its home, the project will develop new markets and foster cultural contexts from Japan through a wide range of activities, including support for the creation of works through seminars, study groups, and creative jams for artists/creators, exhibitions and events that provide a venue for presenting works both domestically and internationally, and exhibiting at international game shows and art fairs.
