The ars●bit project has co-developed the art game The Great Adventure of SHIP’S CAT in collaboration with contemporary artist Kenji Yanobe. An experience event for the game will be held from Saturday, May 2 through Thursday, May 6, 2026 at the pop-up shop inside Enfants Terribles, Premonitions of Oblivion — Yasumasa Morimura, Kenji Yanobe, Miwa Yanagi —, currently on view at Nakanoshima Museum of Art, Osaka.
The Great Adventure of SHIP’S CAT is a shooting game that immerses players in the world of Yanobe’s artistic practice. The game features SHIP’S CAT as the protagonist, alongside characters and bosses inspired by iconic works from throughout Yanobe’s career. Original artwork was created by BAN8KU, a pixel artist participating in the ars●bit program; game development was carried out by Kyoto University of the Arts, Osaka Electro-Communication University, and Soai University. We invite you to experience this art game, born from an industry-academia collaboration.
A talk event revealing behind-the-scenes stories from the game’s development will also be held on the opening day, Saturday, May 2, to celebrate the game’s public launch. We hope you’ll enjoy it alongside the game itself.
