Hiroshi Yoshida

Professor at the Graduate School of Humanities and Sociology and the Faculty of Letters, the University of Tokyo. Specializes in aesthetics and game studies. His publications include Digital Game Studies (The University of Tokyo Press, 2023, winner of the 33rd Okawa Publishing Prize), Critical Words: Game Studies (co-editor, Film Art, 2025), and The Aesthetics of Absolute Music and the Split of »Germanness« (Seikyusha, 2015, winner of the 37th Suntory Prize for Social Sciences and Humanities).
