Born in 1982. Manager of Hotel Anteroom Kyoto / Curator of Gallery 9.5 / Guest Researcher at Ritsumeikan Center for Game Studies
As the official hotel for Japan’s largest indie game festival, “BitSummit,” he supports creators’ stays and interactions. Under the concept of “expressing the ever-changing art and culture of Kyoto,” the hotel promotes projects that disseminate game culture through its art gallery and various events. Utilizing his background in academic research on video games during his student days, he collaborates with researchers, indie game developers, and companies both domestically and internationally to develop various initiatives. These include meetup events facilitating exchanges among creators, artists, and researchers (since 2019), exhibitions blending contemporary art and indie games (since 2021), and limited-time concept rooms inspired by game culture (since 2021).
