Ryosuke SHIOMI
He creates art works mainly based on armor using metalworking and engraving techniques. With themes of prayer and pride, he creates sculptures using a variety of metals with animal and bird motifs.
In 2021, he exhibited at “Sozai Tensei – Beyond the Material- (Gifu Prefectural Museum of Art)” and in 2023 at “Sunday Art Museum: Contemporary Transcendental Techniques 2 (NHK Educational TV)”.
He has also participated in numerous art fairs and group exhibitions. He graduated from the Department of Crafts, Faculty of Fine Arts, Tokyo University of the Arts, and completed a Master’s degree in metalworking at the Graduate School of Fine Arts at the same university.
