Shun Okada

1992 Born in Ibaraki, Japan. Based in Tokyo, primarily working in painting.
His work expresses the distinctive error screens—commonly known as “bugs”—that occur on Nintendo Entertainment System (NES) as paintings.
Each screen is painstakingly hand-painted, and as a result, numerous mistakes unique to manual work are present.
The artist reflects on these imperfections alongside their own experiences of failure and bugs, embracing the incompleteness of painting as a medium,
and seeks to reawaken the memory of the Famicom in a new form.
